i have a highly curated list of my favorite things on kauai. it includes hikes, beaches, restaurants, shopping, and general tips for being a good visitor to the island i call home. a well known NFT artist is using it right now and having the time of their lives. i’ll gladly share it with you if: - you have a trip to kauai planned - i know you or we have a couple good mutual who can vouch for you; and - you don’t share it outside your travel partners i don’t mean to gatekeep it, but also, i do. kauai is a special and sacred place and should be regarded as such. i’m also happy to answer any q’s anyone has about hawai’i at large. i don’t have a list for every island, but have traveled to each one extensively. have already helped a few farcasters plan some trips and happy to point more of you in the right direction.

i have yet to get to papakōlea but it’s def on my list! black and green sand beaches are all on big island. the beaches are all so new the sand hasn’t had time to tumble white yet. all the new lava flow there creates black pieces of baby earth. one of my fave islands in the chain. thx for sharing 🥰

oh the green sands beach had a major impact on me. the waves are huge bc if how is set up and the swell is very dangerous. the waves rise up on the slope and the pull back out far and fast. was scary. i tried to play in the wave and had scary times getting thrown around. a local had to show me how to dive under the wave. was hard to get out too bc they keep coming. most folks when i was there just watched. was humbling. and off the green sands is wonderful. do try it.
