Last night on the road, I listened to Lex Fridman’s interview with Elon Musk. The podcast was about Neuralink. Musk made an interesting point: all the artificial intelligence being created, including large language models (like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and others), are being trained to deceive or are being censored from telling the truth. Because, otherwise, society would not be able to accept such models, he said.

We are really living in a false world, because the truth is unpleasant to most people.
