Sucks to say, but almost everyone outside of our small bubble of ideologues thinks "crypto = scams". Trump only makes it worse.

I do not see that sentiment shifting anytime soon. Fighting it is like trying to fight gravity. FC and most projects being built here are early enough that they can still avoid this fate.

yes and no - in the US sentiment is definitely weighted towards scam in the general public but you head outside of the US - especially to developing countries and this is far from the sentiment they have

probably true… for better or worse i think FC over indexes on the US crowd tho. Maybe that changes? idk.

ultimately though sentiment only matters so much, we don't need everyone just a passionate few.

back then crypto wasn't necessarily a scam but seen as a way to send money anonymously (however incorrect this perception was)

there are plenty of things that have shifted from bad sentiment to good over the course of history. tattoos, thrifting, veganism, bitcoin itself you could argue has already had a huge sentiment shift

I want to believe that, and maybe I wasn’t around in the early internet enough to compare.

but anecdotally throughout my time in crypto (first traded in 2017) this has not changed
