It's shocking that prediction markets have not taken off even though there's been a number of both controlled and randomized experiments to check the efficacy of prediction markets. It's because we haven't done a good job educating users about it. I think the temptation to position prediction markets as betting/gambling forums is too high. But i do respect polymarket, kalshi and manifold for trying to do so in the best way they can.
