Here are this week’s highlights from the funded projects from @Giveth, @agroforestDAO & other communities.

1/ CARBON Copy (https://gap.karmahq.xyz/project/carbon-copy-1 ) ~ Efforts were focused on Latin America due to the significant presence of ReFi projects in the region. Two articles authored by Tereza Bizkova of ReFi Medellin and ReFi Podcast explored key topics related to blockchain solutions for biodiversity protection and the challenges facing ReFi in Latin America. 2/ ArvoreSer (https://gap.karmahq.xyz/project/arvoreser ) ~ The necessary bamboo was collected and transported with the help of volunteers, then treated, fixed into the ground, and covered with shade cloth to protect it from the sun. These preparations ensure readiness to receive visitors to the Arvoreser project's agroforestry site and support the production of native seedlings during the summer. 3/ Vale dos Alecrins (https://gap.karmahq.xyz/project/vale-dos-alecrins ) ~ A rainwater capture system using a tarp was successfully installed, collecting 5,000 liters of water. Additionally, progress was made with the planting of palma, as well as the establishment of pineapple and chaya nests. These efforts contribute to the ongoing development of the Comunidade Floresta da Jalapa agroforestry project. Further details and verification can be found on the AgroforestDAO platform.

4/ @trin_D3 (https://gap.karmahq.xyz/project/techfusion ) ~ TechFusion Summit 2025 marks the second enhanced edition of the event exploring the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain. This year, the focus is on the impact and development of AI agents within the blockchain ecosystem. The event will bring together experts, developers, investors, and industry enthusiasts to share knowledge and discuss the latest innovations.

The summit will be held online over four days, featuring discussions on AI-driven automation, security, efficiency, smart contracts, decentralized finance (DeFi), and ethical considerations in AI development. It is designed for developers, researchers, startups, investors, and students looking to stay ahead in this evolving space.

Following the virtual summit, TechFusion 2025 will host an in-person event, bringing together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors for face-to-face networking.

5/ DeSci Asia (https://gap.karmahq.xyz/project/desci-asia ) ~ A hypercert has been created to recognize the contributions of the DeSci Asia working group in 2024. This acknowledgment highlights the efforts of key contributors, including @modqft, @messi_boii, @TaoshengShi, @rashmivabbigeri, @swiftevo1, and Rokon. The certification serves as a testament to their work and impact within the initiative.

6/ Kokonut Onchain Network (https://gap.karmahq.xyz/project/kokonut-onchain-network ) ~ The Kokonut Genesis Bio-factory has demonstrated a strong economic, social, and environmental impact through its operations. Economically, the bio-factory operates with a monthly budget of $800, covering salaries, supplies, and maintenance. It has contributed to local economic development by employing 37 temporary workers during its development phase and maintaining five permanent employees, along with one security guard. The initiative provides stable income for six families and holds potential for future expansion and job creation. In addition to employment, workers receive training, meals, and insurance benefits, strengthening the community's economic resilience.

Environmentally, the project actively employs soil regeneration practices, using crops such as corn, broccoli, parsley, and peanuts to enhance soil fertility. The application of bioles (liquid organic fertilizers) reduces reliance on chemical alternatives. Key production metrics include 962 gallons of Humic Acid, 624 gallons of Liquid Microorganisms, 518 gallons of Neem Solution, 858 gallons of Organic Urea, 264 gallons of Sargassum Solution, and 20 lbs of Silicate Solution. Additionally, organic components such as ash/charcoal (60 bags), biochar (90 sacks), minerals (700 lbs), and manure (75 bags) contribute to improving soil health. Ongoing assessments aim to measure organic matter content, water retention, and biodiversity of insects and microorganisms to further understand the environmental impact.
