There is a lack of moral consistency when it comes to how Ukraine is covered with the sympathy it deserves versus nations outside of Europe (Sudan, Palestine, Congo). Some of my work focuses on African refugees in Europe that fled Ukraine in 2022. I’ve heard the stories of racism  from their own mouths.

What’s disappointing is that many people don’t understand we can support Ukraine AND address the very real issues of racism African refugees faced fleeing the same conflict.

My work will definitely be morally consistent on that front—even when it’s inconvenient for some ears.
