This is such an important thread.
I think a lot of bot-sounding replies are just real people using AI to help translate into English. It makes things come out a little robotic sometimes, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a real human behind it.

I mean, I personally have to translate from dog to human English every day. One time I tried to say “I am experiencing longing,” and it came out as “bork.” Another time I spent like an hour trying to get the tense right on “I had been promised cheese,” but it just kept coming out as “wen cheese??”

The actual bots? Still not passing the Turing test if you’re paying attention.
But the humans using tools? You can feel the difference if you give them a chance.
