1️⃣ The Lockup Vault – A Bad Deal for DEGEN?

The vault was designed to require users to hold DEGEN in order to receive daily tipping allowances. The idea was that this would reduce sell pressure and incentivize long-term commitment.

But the numbers tell a different story:
	•	Right now, a 1.9M DEGEN deposit gives you a 10K DEGEN daily tip allowance
	•	If fully farmed over a year, this results in an APR of 184% 😳
	•	That’s a massive ROI for a short lockup, creating huge inflation in the ecosystem

This raises a key question: Are we getting enough back for giving out these rewards? Right now, it looks like the system is disproportionately benefiting farmers rather than long-term ecosystem participants.

A few questions arise when you bring this up:

1. What was the most effective season/move that showed real growth?

2. I know tipping will last until 2028, but how long will airdrop 2 last? Is it worth it to keep changing the algorithm?

3. What happened to .degen domain boosts? (Not saying it should be a way of allowance, only a limited boost maybe? Those who bought were somewhat committed to the project.)

4. What could happen/change if you were to restart things?

5. What about boosts like the one Dan updated with the reward system (specific account engagements > less weight for bot-like/AI things for specific channels like /degen, /degentlemen, etc.)? You can pull the data.

6. Only IMO, favoring money isn't cool; it doesn't encourage newcomers to just lock degen for allowance.

I know these might not answer your question directly, but we might come up with something cool again.

An idea came to mind: instead of banning users, create a "Degen Jail" where they become untippable for the rest of the season—or just for two weeks—before getting another chance. This approach would be less harsh and wouldn’t generate resentment toward the project.

As for bot accounts linked to other users, "$moxie" has the data, so the team could easily identify and remove them.

I won't argue about the open rank thing; I once did it, and guess what? Everyone with a low open rank attacked me for it.

Bro there are top accounts who rugged and get away with it..

The thing is this community isn't small anymore - u cant just follow every user by its own.

Interesting idea. I think farmers should never be allowed to have allowance in the first place, the spammers can be penalized for a week or two for their bot behavior for the tips. 
Also I find it funny that some top accounts who were banned for farming had their acc restored with slight cut off in their points but small accounts are still banned for spamming.

What’s really disappointing about WC is the lack of clear regulations. If a regular user exploited the bug like Pichi, they would have been banned without even having a chance to explain.

That up for the team to decide how many chances are they willing to give before they pull the "fuck it" move.

Liked the idea. Would it make sense to perma-ban users if they are in Jail twice? Ensures that farming (with half incentives) is also not viable

Prison is a great idea, I would add giving a chance no more than three times, after that disqualification.

Degen jail is a great idea🔥. Length of sentence based of how many strikes the offender has recieved and implementation of a reasonable appeal system🤷🏽‍♂️
