Why would you build on Farcaster — frames, actions, clients — if Merkle / Warpcast will just clone it if successful? 1. Outside of trading (Coinbase, Uniswap), there's no successful (at-scale, revenue generating) crypto-based business today. 2. The biggest constraint for all crypto app growth is users. There are not enough people using / "in" crypto today. The market needs to expand based on increasing the amount of consumer utility provided. 3. Our goal with Farcaster (and Warpcast) is to get enough scale where developers are able to build meaningful businesses without having to onboard more people to Farcaster and/or crypto themselves. 4. Separately, if your product is really a just a feature of another product, your best bet at building as a business around it is finding the Top 1% power users of said feature and giving them as many bells, whistles and knobs so they are willing to pay you. 5. We actively try to support other Farcaster apps in the ecosystem...

5. ...by giving people opportunity to get distribution through Warpcast. 1. Hubs are permissionless and open source 2. The algo does not penalize links / frames 3. Programmatic DCs 4. Composer actions + discovery on Warpcast 5. With specific features, we nudge power users who want more customization to other apps like Automod, Buoy, Paybot and Payflow.

I know four or five dev and software engineers who are here who joined during my last webinar. Is there a tutorial that teaches them how to build frames here?

I’ve been self teaching building frames and the Farcaster website has some great information (along with some other sources). I have almost 0 coding knowledge and have managed to build a frame with 4 working buttons that successfully pulls data from the Farther API to show a users allowance by FID. Now I’m just trying to make it look pretty.

Okay, how!? I have zero knowledge of coding too, but those devs are eager to learn it, and they are new here. Pointing them to it will be so helpful. >> I have considered learning coding more than once . <<

https://docs.farcaster.xyz/developers/frames/ I started off using the frog framework but have moved to frames.js Personally I started off with frog and examined the code of the initial frame it builds for you. Figured out which lines of code were performing what actions and adjusted accordingly. Also used frog.fm for help.
