● Once you sign, your tx enters the mempool — a global public queue.

Validators/miners pick txs based on how much gas you’re offering.

● If your tx gets picked, the validator starts executing it on-chain.

Every action (sending tokens, swapping, minting e.t.c.) consumes a bit of gas.

● Set a low gas limit and run out during execution?
Your tx fails and gas is still lost.

That’s why gas planning matters.

● On Ethereum, gas is now split:

Base fee is burned

Tip goes to validator

This helps keep gas more predictable.

● Hyped events = gas wars
Everyone overbids to get in first—especially bots chasing alpha.

It gets brutal.

● So yeah… gas isn’t just a random fee.

It’s the mechanism that keeps the chain secure, fair, and spam-free.

● By paying gas, you’re supporting decentralization.
