many think the excitement around here will cool off soon maybe, but also consider that we are in the middle of a bull market, and perhaps after things settle a bit, the market may continue to turn up, set new all time highs, and go parabolic this place could 20x-100x in size within a year think about it...

Very clearly yes. Look at BTC, ETH, SOL, ADA everything has been trending up for months.

Thats true and totally agreed! But on the other hand even big artists projects are suffering especially in ETH

Yeah I think artist sales are really not coupled very tightly with the larger crypto market anymore…which is probably a good thing, at least imo

I think the biggest problem are there not a lot of collectors out there, people left the space in bear. The funny thing is art projects didnt even suffer that much in the worst bear time 😂

Being an artist is one of the hardest jobs there is. Making a living from it is Herculean amounts of effort. I think one of the big issues we have is artists aren’t taking on enough responsibility to collect from each other, when that’s likely the only catalyst to grow the space in a healthy and sustainable manner.

How much can artists rely on a handful of millionaire collectors that are collecting art mostly for profit to keep this space healthy indefinitely? I’d argue not enough - many got rekt in the bear which is why the art sales market plunged. I buy art that I love from other artists all the time.

Yeah for sure. It is complex. But I think a mindset similar to indie “art fairs” where many vendors end up buying from each other is needed a lot more here. We also need marketplaces and developers with ethics who won’t build features like, for example, allow you to steal an artists secondary sale royalty.
