finished this book on @keccers.eth recommendation, a rare doomer book that actually earns its anxiety wake-up call about neurotech that no one seems to be taking seriously enough. opens with a workplace dystopia that's way closer than you think — imagine your brainwave data getting subpoenaed by your employer author brings personal stakes (migraines + severe PTSD) that make you realize why we can't just say no to this tech, but between intrusive surveillance, state control, and straight-up weaponization (Havana Syndrome is probably real btw), we're sleepwalking into a future where our thoughts aren't our own great historical parallels about medical gatekeeping show how institutions will try to control this tech, too
