Did you know that instead of riding someone hard for their failings (because you were over-exposed which btw is 100% on you), you can instead thank them for having had the courage to try to create something in the first place? An environment of encouragement and support regardless of outcome may also help lead to better outcomes for builders longer-term anyway! Crazy, right?

it's a general observation that can apply to several cases, but this is a current one for sure

i understand where you're coming from but they didn't listen to the community and when that happens it's bound to fail and the community is bound to get pissed off

I haven't seen that, doesn't mean I'm right though. Do you have some examples of not having been listening to the community?

yes, for farther I actually do. he created a pole asking us to decide something and still went ahead to do what he wanted, why create the poll in the first place

I mean that comes with the territory of being a founder. You want to gauge community sentiment but sometimes you have to make a different decision because you're the one who truly understands the system the best. The farcaster folks are constantly asking for community feedback but frequently making choices that are not the most popular.

This doesn't mean that feelings of people aren't valid though - definitely valid and it sucks to feel unheard, and it sucks to see things ending up the way they are about something you were connected to for sure.

i understand this also, but he was already making the decisions himself, and the one time he asked for our opinion, he spat in our face i'd have been totally fine if he just made the decision alone as usual
