Not sure if you found the story yet, but it looks like the Brazilian government wanted Elon to remove accounts That we're spreading political misinformation in Brazil and he refused. That is despite him complying with 80% of requests from other countries

Didn’t see that part but I did see that he refused to have a company rep in the country as required by Brazilian law…not sure how accurate that is or not though as I think I just saw that commented on SM

Yes, it's both things. It started with him not removing the misinformation accounts, but for that X was just fined, not banned. To avoid the fines, Elon closed all X offices in Brazil. And our law requires foreign companies to have at least an appointed lawyer in the country in order to provide services. The judge gave him a deadline to appoint representation and he failed to do so, only after that it was blocked.
