In 1999, at age 23, with my very first cameras and a backpack full of b/w film, I found myself in the Taliban madrassas on the Pak/Afghan border, and was looking for someone to smuggle me into Afghanistan to meet Mullah Omar.  Here is a short film about it: https://youtu.be/w32JuAjdoOo
