There is a huge emphasis in modern times to be productive. But what's just as important, and critical for effective productivity, is to be inductive. If I'm just sitting in the sun on a beautiful day in my backyard, listening to the birds and feeling the breeze on my skin. I'm not being lazy or non-productive. I'm being inductive. My mind is inducing the new insights and perspectives that will allow my to harness and focus my creative energies when I go back to being productive. Modern schooling over emphasizes productivity (heaping on more homework and other "busywork"), while devaluing inductivity. They're just fostering a society of burnt out shells of human beings. Avoid the burnout, be inductive!
