If Meta acquires the interest in EssilorLuxottica (and maybe takes over long term) + EL successfully diversifies into broader fashion in the interim period (starting with the Supreme purchase), the end result could be the first tech-fashion conglomerate.

Especially since they'll lean into wearables across product lines/business units - instead of just sensors in the glasses they'll be in all the other bits and pieces

It won’t just be a tech product as accessory ie MRB or Apple Watch. It will be mass produced digi-physical fashion.

Yes completely agreed. I didn't mean wearables a la watches as much as (probably) mems and other sensors into mass market stuff like hoodies, hats and other regular things we wear. I could have used a different word or explanation to distinguish from "current day" style wearable tech devices vs future state passively embedded and Meta connected sensors Then there's the whole digital twin ecosystem

Haha yeah my reply was to reinforce your point! It’s interesting to see the first meaningful signs of convergence since Apple first poached fashion industry leaders ahead of the Apple Watch. Didn’t lead to much beyond that. Then there’s the likes of 9dcc and iyk trying to generate demand for this new category.
