Can optimistic rollups have native Account Abstraction?

Yes! And I think this is our best hope for native AA. The ETH roadmap seems to agree... I believe we'll need to prove out and battle test implementations on L2 to merit inclusion upstream.

Thanks for your answer! My question is because I know that ZKSync has native AA so any user can pay gas in tokens different than eth, but I've never seen this in optimistic rollups like arbitrum or optimism

Ah! I see, well even without native AA, we still have EIP-4337 paymasters that will let users pay gas with tokens. Alchemy has a paymaster integration that you can use to set this up on Base and OP from the comfort of a web-based UI.

Are you sure? I believe Alchemy's paymaster only allows dApps to subsidize gas for users, not that users can pay gas with stablecoins (for example)

I'm actually not sure if it's in the Alchemy integration, I just assumed... but I know that's a primary use case for paymasters. I've configured a few now and it is definitely an option.
