Makes me wonder where the Wild West is going next

Now that manifest destiny is almost 100% loaded, and complete on the west coast, I do wonder where it will go next

As @jenna mentioned, the new world and the americas was the where the heretics and innovators that couldn’t stand Europe left to go to, and the Wild West was where folks went to in search of manifest destiny 

My longer term bet is the weird, the innovative and the extremely grifty and dangerous is going to end up in space — but probably not for the next decade at least

My take is that people are going to realize they overlooked the Midwest and we’re going to see a brief return there, away from the coasts, then Mars, then moons around Saturn and Jupiter
