ProShares Recommends Bitcoin Hedge ETF Linked to S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Gold
ProShares has filed an application to launch a Bitcoin Hedge ETF linked to the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100 and gold. The Bitcoin Hedge ETF is an investment fund that tracks the value of Bitcoin, but has a hedging strategy to minimize Bitcoin's price fluctuations. This fund often uses financial instruments such as futures contracts, options or other derivative products to protect the fund's value against the sharp volatility of Bitcoin. According to the filing with the SEC, these Bitcoin Hedge ETFs will combine a long equity or gold position strategy with a short US dollar position, supplemented by long Bitcoin positions via futures contracts.
