Steven Narayoff, an early advisor to Ethereum, has sued law firm Covington&Burling for $100 million in damages, accusing them of dereliction of duty in handling his defense in the 2019 US ransomware case. Nerayoff claimed that Covington's lawyer advised him not to provide key evidence to the prosecutor, which led to a delay in the case. He provided these pieces of evidence in June 2022, and the case was dismissed in May 2023. Covington denies the allegations and claims that the lawsuit is unfounded, and will defend himself firmly. @drug01
