Louis Chevrolet (1878-1941): A Swiss race car driver and automotive engineer. He lent his name and engineering expertise to the company. William C. Durant (1861-1947): A businessman who had previously founded General Motors. He saw an opportunity to create a new, affordable car brand with Chevrolet. /founders
