OML: Open, Monetizable, and Loyal AI At the core of Sentient is the OML (Open, Monetizable, and Loyal AI) framework, which ensures AI development remains transparent and accessible. OML introduces: • Integration of blockchain, AI, and cryptography to create a secure and decentralized AI ecosystem. • Trusted Execution Environments (TEE), homomorphic encryption, and AI-native cryptography to protect AI model ownership and integrity. • Turning AI attack techniques like data poisoning into security tools to safeguard AI systems. OML prevents AI centralization by leveraging blockchain to ensure transparency and accountability, making AI a shared resource rather than a corporate asset.

Sentient’s Funding and Backers Sentient has gained strong investor backing, securing $85 million in seed funding from top-tier VCs such as Founders Fund, Pantera Capital, and Framework Ventures. Additionally, Ethereal Ventures, Robot Ventures, Symbolic Capital, and Delphi Ventures have also invested in the project. Sentient originated from a discussion between Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal and EigenLayer founder Sreeram Kannan. It was later academically supported by Princeton University professor Pramod Viswanath and Himanshu Tyagi from the Indian Institute of Science and Technology. With this backing, Sentient is positioned as a key player in the AI revolution.
