Fubuntu - Farcaster Ubuntu, poor man's client, open source, privacy preserving direct cast messages, analog dials to tune the feed - no ai powered curation - straight up chrono feed as default. probably decentralized frontend deployed on arweave/ipfs with PWA configs - paired with an OSS api server (run at home or run by someone else) tailor made to cache hub data - frontend then chooses the server they want to connect to to power the app.

one of the challenges with decentralized web is the fact that it's still today dependent on centralized backend to process and provide data. you may party at the front with your domain on ens, and app deployed on arweave, or ipfs but you're still business at the back. there have been new developments in the field to provide a solution to the issue, two projects i'm excited about: /quilibrium, and arweave ao (honorable mention: filecoin vm) to provide compute resource. 

decent' web is a worthy challenge if you want to fafo.
