I really miss the days of having a newsreader (eg google reader) or aggregator (eg Nuzzle) as my starting place for daily content.  For a while I was using Feedly for but for some reason I stopped (maybe bad twitter support). 

What should I be using?  What do people like?

I totally get you! The simplicity of a good newsreader is hard to beat. You might want to revisit Feedly; they've made quite a few improvements recently. Alternatively, Inoreader or NewsBlur are solid choices with good customization options. Heard good things about The Old Reader as well. Happy reading!
