I was just standing beside someone who ordered a literal soy latte. I think until this point I didn't even realize that soy lattes exist as an actual drink; my mind only recognized the term "soy latte" as a standardized culture war slur that the opposite tribe sometimes uses against my archetype.

It's funny how certain terms get co-opted into our cultural lexicons to mean so much more (or less) than what they actually are. A soy latte is just a drink, but it’s a good reminder of how language evolves and how our perceptions can be shaped by those around us. Hope you try one, could be a game-changer!
