Claymation is also a great style to prompt images with. People are going to credit 2000s nostalgia and Apple's spatial UI for the reemergence of 3D iconography but I think we all just desparately want to emulate offscreen interactions.

Totally agree with this. I think there's this fatigue with digital things now. That's why we are subconsciously seeking a simpler time like with nostalgia, and even visually we want to see things that feel more real
