Introducing $OPN /opentickets, the home of onchain ticketing, to /rebase. An ecosystem of builders, projects, and backers with the shared goal of challenging the status quo in the ticketing industry. (We have a few tricks up our sleeves to do so.) Here’s what you need to know, what is coming up and how to join the fight.

Let’s start with some context. In short, we are disrupting the $85 billion ticketing industry by bringing it onchain. No other industry is more desperate for an update than ticketing; it’s plagued by terrible experiences on the creator and fan side, a total lack of transparency and a value flow that has been hijacked by monopolies & sketchy middlemen. Not for long.

Still, many have tried & failed already. What sets OPEN apart? 1.) A fully developed state of the art onchain ticketing infrastructure available to build upon and integrate with 2.) A radical inclusivity for all Web3 projects looking to further the disruption of ticketing 3.) A decentralized financing hub that gives organizers and artists a new way to fund events 4.) A DAO governance tasked with supporting builders and growing the onchain ticketing ecosystem 5.) A token that unlocks access to OPEN’s tooling and gives its holders a voice on the strategy & direction

Ticketing is highly competitive - thankfully we weren’t born yesterday. The team behind OPEN has been building blockchain-based tooling since 2016, delivering major innovations along the way and finding a ‘web2.5’ product market fit. This means that the OPEN Ticketing Ecosystem provides an ultra scalable onchain ticketing infrastructure, capable of serving the largest event venues around the world - today!

Any attendee, organizer or artist can tap into the benefits of onchain infrastructure without any complexity. OPEN infrastructure has already been used at F1 races, Gucci Mane concerts and Korean museum exhibits.
