The new leader of Syria Ahmed al-Sharaa (formerly known by his nom de guerre Abu Mohammed al-Jolani) meeting with Turkey’s foreign minister. Sharaa has recently upped his clothing game and is not just wearing a suit but even a tie now.

Sharaa also recently met with top U.S. State Department officials, after which he was removed from the terrorist wanted list where he had a $10M bounty on his head previously. He was formerly a senior member of a ruthless Al Qaeda branch in Iraq, but since he won the war in Syria he has been reaccepted even in Washington.

Lesson: The only thing that matters is winning.

Skeptical that this can work without more feedback loops, ie. in no modern org is communication a DAG. Interesting experiment though:
