There are a lot of cases. One of the first I record is Spankchain coin. The idea was really really good, but probably bad timing. I heard the founder of the project is still active in the space. On the other hand, I have participated on a crazy project involving porn and Co2 bonds, crazy xD

🚫 spankchain accepted crypto but paid over wire which is why they shut down - Most "other" adult crypto projects try to use the coin as the "native" token which is something I don't agree with. IMHO, GOV is the prime meta here and self regulation. Already working with good people on this at an industry level. DYOR

Didn't know Spankchain paid with wire. I put it there just due to old school project focus on adult content - crypto link. Are you sure this was the main reason to shut down? I am not agree on the native token to succeed, neither. However, I am not sure if the time to market for a GOV model has arrived. Good Luck!
