Through introspection and continued cultivation, it becomes easier to notice the subtle threads of Qi that attach...not just through relationships, but through memory, identity, and old emotional loops. These threads can feel like love, duty, or history, but over time they begin to weigh on the spirit and cloud clarity.

This is the spirit of Hexagram 40 - Xie. It teaches that liberation comes not through force, but through clarity. Release doesn’t mean rejection, it means returning to natural flow. The storm passes. Tension dissolves. And space is made for movement again.

Letting go of what drains is not an act of cruelty, but an act of care. The Way doesn't ask for guilt, it asks for honesty. What nourishes will remain. What no longer resonates will fall away, if given space.
