reminds me of $plu my cashback in PLU suddenly was worth half of what I spent with the card over the years but probably regulation heavy

If you're giving credit card rewards as tokens... rough. And I see no reason to do that. I mean, I know a company that's done that but I think it's pretty challenging business — most people just want some rebates; they didn't sign up to be investors. If you issue tokens as points, that's a different thing.
