Then there’s the unexpected call, followed by an urgent email. By the end of the day, my main priorities are still waiting, and my to-do list has grown. What I’ve learned: Interruptions aren’t just distractions—they’re silent productivity killers. Here’s how I’ve started managing them: > Deep work time: Block it off in your calendar like it’s a meeting you can’t skip. > Batch communication: Set specific times for emails, calls, and Slack, and stick to them. > Make a ‘No-Interruptions’ rule: Let your team know when focus time is off-limits, unless it’s urgent. > Capture, then return: Jot down quick notes for non-urgent issues and revisit them later.
