It will be a big deal if we can convince an entire generation who has always trusted an amorphous entity to look after and protect them, that self custody is the way. Letting go of the notion that their own financial safety is someone else's responsibility will be a paradigm shift like few others.

Been working on it for 7 years now. Making progress. It’ll take a good old fashioned bank run to really seal the deal for most people under 50 though. We are post war baby’s and don’t think it can happen but it will.

Under 50! Everyone is post world war 2 and the fed has backstopped multiple financial collapses. Young people haven’t experienced any sort of consequences for the damage “elected” officials have done. They think they actually own the money in their bank and they think that the dollar doesn’t constantly lose value. 

This is all going to collapse in 5 years or so and that’s when it will all make sense. 

Unfortunately the fed is waiting with a CBDC surveillance coin that they will mask with UBI.
