According to CEX(.)IO stablecoins have recorded a total transaction value of $27.6 trillion in 2024, surpassing Visa and Mastercard. USDT still dominates but its market share has decreased from 70.5% to 67.7%, while USDC has increased from 18.4% to 21.5%, thanks to demand from DeFi.
