Some combo of trial and error, Twitter following curation (especially ArtBlocks OGs + frequent Twitter names associated with art I like). I'm rarely the first to a grail but I know those who are, and I sit on the sidelines a bit (not a huge fan of minting unless I treat it as a gamble, like opening up a booster pack).
