Has always been true really. The yin/yang of censorship resistant permissionless rails. We need to do our best to parlay those onboarded by the nihilists into the futurist ideals. The harsh truth is the nihilists are better at onboarding / finding PMF than the futurists so far

Having a material risk placed on an uncertain outcome. The risk can be financial but is more powerful if it’s something deeper. If things don’t work out some part of you is worse off (financially, ego, reputation, emotionally etc). That is the incentive to work towards the positive outcome
