But I agree sometimes it is assumed everyone is familiar with all US memes.

I mean, I thought it was just a sticker design, but it seems like it is inspired by Virginia’s welcome sign, and it probably has a deeper context, too. I wouldn’t have figured this out without seeing this sign. This is why I thought we were missing context sometimes
