Experiment: Hiding power badges

Power badges will be hidden on Warpcast for a week. We’re running this experiment because:

1. New user find it hard to get follows due to “power badge bias”
2. Power badge isn’t being used much in Warpcast anymore.

Update: experiment was a success, power badge is no more in Warpcast!

Active users saw no impact and new users benefitted from this change. Warpcast will remove power badges from the UI permanently. 

If you are a developer who uses Power Badge, @neynar will continue supporting the Power Badge API for you.

Airstack also provides Far Scores for developers, an alternative to using the power badge

Oh I thought Power Badge was just a simplification of Far Score (top 2k far score account).

How is farscore being used? 🤔

Are you talking about power badge or far score?

Far score (formerly SCS) is airstack’s proprietary user ranking score, not related to Openrank at all 

Neither of these were ever used by the Warpcast team
