I am pausing my activity on Warpcast for the foreseeable future due to the current issue with large number of bots.

Recent posts over the past few months have received hundreds of likes and recasts coming mostly from bots.

there are bots here for sure, but i’m sure this is a case of people being in spam

spam users are unfortunately counted as bots and their interactions also

I think he’s just popular here, and after the huge success of his NFT, a lot of Farcaster users turned on notifications (just like I did). Bots haven’t been counted in these metrics for quite some time now. Looking through the list, they all seem legitimate and more or less active.

there a lot of legitimate people marked as spam, and unfortunately their comments don’t add to the numbers, but their likes and recasts do, hence the bot allegations

In any case, it remains a good reference account to sort all this out. Surely it will be fixed soon, even though it’s still a complex issue to implement without penalizing real users.
