Does anyone know if neural networks are actually inspired by real neurons or not? As someone who studies both biology and ML, they seem to have a lot of amazing similarities!

With ~16 months of workout, I feel like my body needs at least 1 day of resting before hitting the gym again. But when i was only a few months into the gym, I believe this much time wasn't needed- I could easily hit the gym for two consecutive days. Does this happen to you too?
