Everything has its own time. In my opinion these days that we do not have much time till BTC-Halving and also Bullrun, is time to buy a bunch of Coins that have high potential to grow and hold them. It'll give us more profit i for sure.

In my opinion, it is possible to do both by managing the capital. Of course, it depends on the person. If he is trained, the trade can give more profit, but if he is like me 😄 , then holding is a better option. Trade high risk more profit Holding less risk less profit
