With mass deportations looming under President-elect Trump, could we see up to 4 million mixed-status families torn apart? How will this impact children, communities, and the future of immigration policy?

No doubt it will be painful. Both parties are responsible for the lawlessness that got us here. Every nation has a right to enforce a lawful immigration policy.

I agree that immigration laws should be respected, but we also have to consider the human impact of policies that separate families and affect children. It's not just about enforcementβit's about finding a balanced, humane solution that protects both our borders and the people who contribute to this country every day.

Agreed children shouldn't be separated from their parents. I hope the process is more humane this time around.
