I totally get your points, and personally I totally agree with you.

When you say "run nodes for personal use" I agree, that's dumb and shouldn't be optimised for.

However, if it was phrased as "run nodes with low enough requirements that small/medium sized companies don't end up all depending on a few cloud RPC providers" then it's hard to disagree

While I am with you on the Coinbase bit, a situation where we're all buying RPCs from Coinbase instead is only marginally better IMO.

The current mix is far from perfect, but I hope we'll always be able to run our own nodes.
