Eventually /degen (and other FC channels) will be dominated by ads. Some sophisticated, some not. What can we do to slow that down?

Sure! But for the public, ungated channels such as this, we need a mod or two. I don't see a mod listed at the top, as with other channels. @0xen do you know?

i was just going to post about this. i think v soon /degen will need a mod to protect from scams - doesn't have one now which has added to a kind of freewheeling anarchy that's been fun but won't scale.

but the scams and wallet drainers are coming soon, who knows how long /degen will be fun and innocent. as Farcaster scales it'll either turn into a kind of Wall Street Bets place with mods or a bot and scam dumping ground with myriad spinoffs offering old school /degen vibes.

social farming adds an interesting layer to this, we've all been doing it and it's been fun and chaotic. a heavy handed mod would have probably squashed this by now and slowed some of the innovation and experimentation, so we're in a kind of goldilocks zone
