Colorado mountain towns are beautiful but the architecture is still pure 80s slop, no real identity. Northern New Mexico still wins hands down.

Was Arts and Crafts (100 years ago) the last great mass domestic architectural movement in the States?

those would be fine with a little bit of vision and ornamental flair, but they’ve mostly punted. at least these days they’re adding a bit of brick facade, although I don’t know why they only go halfway and do the siding thing on half. single family homes have been mostly uninspired for a long long time.
