can someone explain to me this trend / tactic and both the intended and unintended outcomes?

more attention is on Base now. Twitter influencers and $degen clones flooding the twitter-sphere with garbage so we started a Twitter raiding campaign using $degen as incentives. 

Price is up 3x since then.

price flying was a very cool secondary effect obviously.

original motivation came from searching for cool Base tokens/ecosystem stuff and almost nobody was talking about $degen. in fact multiple fake $degen coins had popped up, as someone who's put a lot of time in the ecosystem it made me mad...

however, your response doesn’t really answer my question about intended / unintended outcomes. was the intended outcome to increase the price of $degen? or was that an unintended outcome? what was the purpose?
