I mean Marc described on his Rogan podcast the kinds of influence the current administration was having behind the scenes and the roundabout ways they did it. Elon would be privy to these kinds of influences. If even 20% of what was said was true then it's deeply troubling. First they came for the republicans type vibes.

20% of what he was saying is true implies 80% isn't. are you comfortable with that ratio?

How dare you use Pareto for the dark side. I don't think the number is 20% btw. Also most of it was like 4 things with the rest being supporting evidence so idk how the above ratios would work. If the things he said were true but none of the evidence was correct? I'm comfortable with that lol. If you haven't listened to the podcast I suggest listening to the whole thing. Some stuff is taken out of context on reddit and it was annoying. Reddit has fallen so far when it comes to discourse in the last few years. Like Elon talking about sitting with each of the people working on I think xAI to find out what they do. The point was imagine doing that with the government. But that part was cut out. You'll have to tolerate speculation about aliens and the pyramids given it's Rogan lol. But an episode I recommend listening to.

i listened to it, he makes a few ok points. what stands out to me was how sad marc and his cohorts were when trump won in 2016. they even went out to dinner to commiserate. still, do you really, in your heart of hearts think the FIRST thing kamala was going to do was take away twitter from elon and then throw him in jail? c'mon.

I took at as "this is an urgent and real threat to free speech." Not a, "this is literally the first priority." Maybe I'm wrong but I think that's how most people took it. It's noteworthy that when Elon set out to make Twitter an alternative to all the mainstream media that the attack on him and everything he stands for started. Incentives make it hard to take those concerns seriously. Which is annoying because there are legitimate concerns but have to waste time discrediting useless attacks and criticisms.
