There’s just no good answer here. The current dynamic was the meat grinder continues to take lives and weakens Russia but strengthens China. That was an acceptable dynamic. Winning was off the table since Russia would use Nukes if it ever came to that. Unless you can disable nukes which revealing THAT would be immense. It’s unfair and disgusting to let the belligerent nation get their concessions. The fact that the gov of the world didnt immediately go after the oligarchs and the ruling class and stead went for hurting the nation as a whole already meant they accepted the meat grinder situation. Cannot have moral superiority. It was a cultural victory for the west and attempting a military response was sad and pathetic and has ensured the surrounding nations have a deep rooted hatred forever. The response to not attack all then oligarchs personally meant that this was always going to be a sad response. The hope now is that the EU steps up and forces serious concessions from Russia which is possible.
