emission in Fantasy top occurs when plays open new packs. For every new pack, 5 more cards are created into the space. Hence, theoretically, the supply of cards is infinite. Rank is the number of stars you see at the top of cards and determines the rate of inflation of a given card. More stars? Lower chance of getting it out of packs. Here's the natural curve you'd expect for cards to appear in the ecosystem based on their rank and as they approach their capped supply:
